Pastor Rayfield Evins Jr.

Rayfield Evins, Jr. was born in Crenshaw, Mississippi. At  a very early there was an awakening in his life of the love of God. Along with discovering the extent of God's love, a passion grew for the Word of God. Pastor Evins displayed a hunger and a thirst for the Word. This was evidenced in Sunday

School and Nurture for Baptist Church classes he attended as a youth. Pastor Evins taught his first adult class at the age of 16 years old when the local pastor scheduled to teach has an emergency and could not fulfill his obligation. Since that time Pastor Evins has taught and
instructed classes from marriage enrichment ministries to church evangelistic ministries.

Pastor Evins matriculated through the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) earning a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology. He is the proud parent of three children. Laura Alexis,  Kennedy Denise, and Rayfield Evins, III.
Pastor Evins strongly believes in the ministry of fatherhood.

Pastor Evins would later matriculate through Mississippi State University earning a Master's of Science degree in the Counseling and Educational Psychology Department. Pastor Evins continues his desire to learn and rightly divide the Word of God.  Pastor, when expressing his love for the people of God often says that he "only has the Word and the Love of God to offer the people of God". This has proven to be true from his years of dedicated work to build up the Kingdom of God. Pastor Evins still upholds the belief to minister to the total man.

In July 2009, Pastor Evins became the eleventh pastor of Southside M.B. Church Inc. Through his dynamic teaching and passion for the Word of God. Southside M.B. Church continues to spread the message of Jesus Christ; which edifies the Saints and points all others to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
